Long, long ago, in a railroad yard south of Detroit, a chubby 9 year old boy went for a ride in a railroad locomotive, and his life would never again be the same...

Here it is some 45 years later and I'm
still playing with TOY TRAINS!

My interest in toy trains along with my experience as an electrical engineer, has resulted in my designing of some very interesting projects. My employment with Lionel Trains Inc., for over 7 years proved to me that "trains and technology" can occupy the same space.

I developed at least three products for Lionel that I thought were quit revolutionary. The first was Rail Sounds(tm). This was digital reproduction of the train whistle, bell, and steam sound.

The second revolution was with Rail Scope(tm). This placed a small video camera in the front of the toy engine, and transmitted a video picture through the rails to a small TV, from a view as if you were actually riding in your engine, on your train layout as a miniature engineer.

The third was a talking freight/passenger station. This circuit had brought the digital sounds into the accessories. It stopped the train, made an announcement, paused, made another announcement and started the train.

Unfortunately the talking station was never released to the public.

I left Lionel in 1994, because the Owner and the President couldn't agree on what I should be working on. NOW, I'm working on what I want. A few of the products that I intend to develop are, a remote control for toy trains that doesn't require a PhD to learn how to use. A talking train station that not only stops and starts the train, but has customer record-able messages that you can down load from your PC, or a small hand held recorder.

And the list goes on...

This is where you come in!
Any support you give will help me expedite these projects. I'm still not sure if I want to offer the products direct, or as a kit, or sell them through the hobby distributors. Either way, the model railroaders who support me now, will reap the benefits in the months and years to come.

If you've read this far down the page, I can only assume that you really are interested. If you would like to support my efforts by placing an order, print out the order form, and in the "discount code" write WEB SUPPORT and take 20% off of your order. I'll thank you in advance, and again when your order is shipped.

Come back often.

Thanks again,

Greg "Chooch" Messer
